A box for receiving cosmetic articles comprises a total of only three injection moulded components: a bottom member (10), a centre member (12) and a cover member (14). In the centre member (12) a receiving compartment for the cosmetic article is formed. The centre member (12) forms an encircling hollow edge (44) which is provided with two openings (22, 24) in the region of a lock of the box. Through the one opening (22) a lock nose (16) of the cover member (14) projects and through the other opening a lock press member (18) projects laterally out of the box. The lock press member (18) is integrally connected to the bottom member (10). The lock nose (16) and the lock press member 18 are in engagement via inclined surfaces (32, 34). <IMAGE>
