PURPOSE:To simultaneously perform the recording of an image on a frame memory buffer and the hard copy of the image, by mounting a memory change- over means for changing over a plurality of frame memories to a frame memory for reading image data and a frame memory for outputting image data for hard copy. CONSTITUTION:The image signal from an endoscope processor 20 is converted to digital data by an A/D converter 62 to be stored in frame memories 66a-66d and 68a-68d constituting the first and second frame memory buffer groups 66, 68 through a buffer change-over circuit 64. These image data are respectively introduced into a monitor 52, a hard copy device 54 and an optical disk 56 through buffer change-over circuits 70, 72, 74. By supplying image data to the hard copy device 54 continuously while the image data from an endocscope 12 is taken in continuously, an image can be continuously taken in.
