A tripod has a sleeve member 2 and three bracing arms 5 that are pivotally connected with three legs 4 respectively and with the member 2. The upper portion of each leg 4 is pivotally connected to a ring 3 slidably mounted on the member 2. Above the ring 3, is a collar 21 fixedly mounted on the member 2. An extension tube 1 with a jack plate 12 is slidably mounted in the member 2 and is furnished with several positioning holes 11. The tripod can simply be recovered by pulling the member 2 upwards, and then the bracing arms 5 and the legs 4 will be closed towards the member 2. To set up the tripod, one must merely pull one of the legs out until the ring 3 moves up against the collar 21. <IMAGE> |
