PURPOSE:To realize loading/unloading of an electronic memory card without any mechanical contact, by providing a liquid crystal display element which delivers and displays the contents of storage to a memory card containing a semiconductor RAM in addition to an optical means which transfers and receives signals to and from the outside. CONSTITUTION:A memory card 8 consists of a semiconductor RAM and can be loaded and unloaded with no mechanical contact. A photodetector 7 which receives an optical signal from outside and feeds information to a semiconductor RAM2 as well as a liquid crystal display element 6 which delivers information into a liquid crystal display device 5 displaying the contents of storage by blinking are added to the card 8 in addition to the RAM2. When the contents of storage is read out of the RAM2, the contents of storage are first displayed with blinking to the element 6. Then the light is irradiated to the displayed pattern from a light emitting element 11 provided at the terminal side of the card 8, and the transmitted light is caught by a photodetector 12 at the main body side. In such a way, the writing and reading are possible for the card 8 with no mechanical contact. |
