PURPOSE:To set the tracking position as required with a simple constitution, by controlling the gain of a deviation signal based on a pilot signal from adjacent tracks for the feedback control of the tracking of a reproducing head. CONSTITUTION:The pilot signal of both adjacent tracks detected at a pilot signal detection circuit 13 are separated at frequency detection circuits and inverting circuits 20 and 22, 21 and 23, and attain to corresponding DC deviation signals. The tracking of the reproducing head is controlled for feedback so that the difference between both deviation signals via a subtractor 24 goes to zero. In switching a switch 32 or 33 of a gain control circuit 31, the gain of the DC deviation signal is controlled at coefficient circuits 34, 35 into a multiple (n) and the tracking position of the reproducing head is changed. Thus, through a simple constitution, the tracking position is set as required for the measurement of crosstalk. |
