PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunction of a recording and reproducing attributable to a dust, a dirt, etc. by moving an objective lens for a prescribed interval against the charging position of a recording medium at the time of the cleaning of the objective lens. CONSTITUTION:A cassette 1 for a cleaning is charged in a driving device 2 with putting a hairy part 4 downward at the time of the cleaning of an objective lens 5 and it is set so that the tips of the hairy part 4 may touch the lens surface 5a of the objective lens 5 to some extent. Thus, a relative distance between a cleaning member and the objective lens in accordance with the cleaning member to be supplied at the time of the cleaning of the objective lens 5 is set and the objective lens can be moved for a prescribed distance against the charging position of the recording medium. Thus, the cleaning of the objective lens is executed and the recording and reproducing of accurate information is attained. |
