<p>The present invention relates to a programmable self-adjusting device for tensioning wires during winding which has the peculiarity of comprising, in the direction of advancement of a wire (2) to be wound, a pre-braking device (3) for tensioning the wire (2) which winds on a brake pulley (4) downstream of which there is a transmission roller (7) which is supported by a compensating arm (10).
