摘要 PURPOSE:To accurately control an air-fuel ratio regardless of the running state of an internal combustion engine, by a method wherein, based on a ratio between a maximum value of a cylinder internal pressure increase ratio regarding a crank angle in a one ignition cycle and a maximum value of a cylinder internal pressure, an air-fuel ratio control signal is provided. CONSTITUTION:Based on respective detecting signals from an airflow meter 2, a water temperature sensor 6, a crank angle sensor 7, an exhaust gas sensor 9, and a pressure sensor 13 to detect the internal pressure of a cylinder 5, a fuel injection valve 10 is controlled by a control device 12. In this case, the control device 12 computes a ratio between a maximum value of a cylinder internal pressure increase ratio and a maximum value of a cylinder internal pressure. An air-fuel ratio control signal is generated so that the computed ratio is set to a given value demanded by an internal combustion engine. Thereafter, a feedback control is effected so that air-fuel mixture responding to the generated air-fuel ratio control signal is fed to the internal combustion engine. This constitution performs accurate control of an air-fuel ratio regardless of the running state of the internal combustion engine.
