PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous delivery as well as to contrive an improvement in working efficiency by referring to a sorting designation chute based on sorting designation discriminating data read out at the time of chute sorting, and thereby letting sorting designation be printed out by a printing device concurrently with a shipping device driven. CONSTITUTION:A cargo 6 transferred to a sorting zone 3 by a main carrying line 1 is detected by a cargo detecting device 10, subsequently, a bar code label 6a is read out by a bar code reader 11. Sorting data signals read out are forwarded to a host computer 17 so as to refer to sorting designation chutes 81, 82... based on the sorting data signals for sending sorting designation numbers and sorting designation printing data to a printing controller 18. The printing controller 18 prints the sorting designation onto the cargo 6. Simultaneously, a sorting controller 19 receives the sorting designation number so as to drive corresponding chutes 81, 82... timely. This constitution thus prevents erroneous delivery, thereby enabling working efficiency to be improved. |
