<p>In accordance with the invention, hanging flexible and wettable strips (80) and the vehicle to be washed are moved relative to each other from one end of the vehicle to the other end. The strips (80) are arrayed both transversely of the length of the vehicle and along the two sides of the vehicle. The strips are preceded by a water spray (nozzles 17,74,75). Additional water sprays (nozzles 93) hold the side strips against the sides of the vehicle.</p> |
