Metallic contact piece for a measuring lance for measuring operations in molten metals consisting of two tubes (10, 11) connected to each other by pushing a tapered section (14) of one tube (11) into the enlarged opening (12) of the other tube (10) with a sleeve-type insulating body (17) inserted in between. Inserted into the enlarged interior of the end of the contact piece (1) is a cup-type insulating body (26) which contains the contact connecting the contact piece electrically to the measuring probe. The sleeve-type insulating body (17) is sealed with respect to the wall of the enlarged section (12) of the tube (10) and the wall of the tapered section (14) of the tube (11) of the contact piece by inserting ring-type seals (21), while the cup-type insulating body (26) is sealed with respect to the wall of the enlarged interior of the tube end connected to the probe by a further ring-type seal (30). ……
