<p>The invention relates to a device for stopping the rotation of an articulated element (2), especially a door (3), on a supporting element (4) or body (5) of a vehicle. This device comprises a spring (6) with two branches (7, 8) which is fastened to an upright (10) fixed to one of the abovementioned elements and which receives, by means of rollers (18, 19) mounted freely rotatably on its branches (7, 8), a connecting arm (22) fixed to the other element and equipped with stop means (40a, 40b) capable of co-operating with the rollers (18, 19), characterised in that it comprises at least one acoustically insulating elastic element (11, 12) arranged between the upright (10) and a tubular guide (13) receiving the free end (7a, 8a) of the branches (7, 8) of the spring (6) and the rollers (18, 19) mounted on these branches.
