PURPOSE:To obtain a water-absorptive resin molding which can be easily extruded and excels in suitability for handling, etc., by adding a specified amount of a mineral powder having a binding property and a specified water absorptivity modifier to the mixture in molding a water-absorptive resin together with water. CONSTITUTION:4-75pts.wt. water-absorptive resin (A) (e.g., sodium acrylate/ acrylamide copolymer) is mixed with 75-4pts.wt. mineral powder (B) having a binding property (e.g., bentonite) and 2-10pts.wt. at least one water absorptivity modifier (C) selected from among an alcohol, a ketone, an ester, an ether, an aldehyde and an inorganic neutral salt (e.g., ethanol or sodium chloride) to form 100pts.wt. mixture. This mixture is extruded together with water to obtain a water-absorptive resin molding in the form of flakes, particles, etc. The obtained molding can be suitably used for paper napkins, etc. |
