A novel heat-developable light-sensitive material is provided comprising at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer provided on a support, and further containing an acetylene compound represented by the general formula (I): R1-L-C 3BOND C-R2)n (I) wherein L represents a mere bond or a divalent connecting group; n represents an integer of 1 to 4; R1 represents a hydrogen atom, a carboxyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, alkenyl group, alkynyl group, aralkyl group, aryl group, or heterocyclic group when n is 1, and represents a divalent, trivalent or tetravalent residual group when n is 2, 3 or 4; and R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a carboxyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, alkenyl group, alkynyl group, aralkyl group, aryloxycarbonyl group, alkoxycarbonyl group, aryl group, heterocyclic group, or carbamoyl group, with the following two provisos: (1) when n is 2, 3 or 4, the plurality of -L-C 3BOND C-R2 may be the same or different, exclusive of the case where L is a mere bond, and (2) when n is 1, R1 and R2 cannot both represent a hydrogen atom at the same time.
