<p>PURPOSE:To enable manual steering and ensure safety by operating a fail relay cut-off circuit and cutting off a clutch driver from a motor driving circuit when a current detecting circuit is operated in the neutral point zone of a torque detector. CONSTITUTION:The output of a differential circuit 20 connected to a torque detector 1 is inputted into a microcomputer(CPU) 3 and a torque neutral point detecting circuit 23 and the CPU 3 judges the direction and magnitude of steering torque, to make a motor driving circuit 10 output a driving signal. A motor 14 is driven in proportion to the torque signal to assist steering force. On the other hand, at the time of detecting the neutral condition of a handle by the torque neutral point detecting circuit 23, when the drive of the motor 14 is detected through a current detecting circuit 11, a conformation signal is outputted from an AND circuit 28 to cut off a fail relay circuit 26 via a fail relay cut-off circuit 25. Thereby, the motor driving circuit 10 is cut off from a clutch driver 21, leading to a manual steering condition.</p> |
