GAS/LIQUID HEAT EXCHANGER

PURPOSE: To enhance performance furthermore by supplying gas phase through a box for dispersing it across the overall height of a gas phase introduction chamber while inclining a lateral duct slightly downward and feeding condensate regularly through the duct thereby eliminating risk of generating a ram impact. CONSTITUTION: Space between the circumferential surface of a column defined by a plurality of stacked basic unit blocks 1 and a casing 2 is partitioned into a gas phase introduction chamber 6 and a recovery chamber 7 by means of a slip path 5. Liquid phase circulating through a longitudinal duct 3 is heated by gas phase introduced from the chamber 6 to a duct 4. The lateral duct 4 is inclined slightly downward and condensate produced from gas phase flows regularly through the duct 4. A gas phase supply path 10 communicates with a dispersion box 11 disposed on the outside and gas phase is fed through a passage 12 to the chamber 6. A deflector 13 is disposed oppositely to the passage 12 in the space between the column and the casing 2 in order to distribute the gas phase uniformly across the entire circumferential surface of the block 1.
