<p>PURPOSE:To enhance reliability to bending and enhance positional accuracy of terminals for external connection, by a construction wherein a gap between the outer surface of a module and the inner surface of an opening part is gradually reduced in the depth direction of the opening part. CONSTITUTION:A module 1 is embedded in a slanted opening part 5 provided in a card base 2. The module 1 and the card base 2 are adhered and fixed to each other at the bottom surface of the opening part 5, and a slanted gap 4 is left between the outer surface of the module 1 and the inner surface of the opening part 5. The size of the bottom surface of the opening part 5 is restricted to a minimum size sufficient for absorbing the tolerance of the bottom surface of the module 1, and the gap 4 is made to reach its maximum size at the surface side of the opening part 5. When this IC card is bent, the gap 4 is narrowed as the quantity of bend of the card base 2 is increased, and finally, the inner peripheral surface of the opening part 5 and the outer surface of the module 1 make contact with each other. Therefore, a bending stress exerted on the card base 2 is intercepted by the gap 4, without being transmitted to the module 1.</p> |
