PURPOSE:To obtain the title elastomer improved in heat resistance, oil resistance, methanol resistance, water repellency, oil repellency, cost, etc., by grafting a specified fluorinated olefin compound onto a polyolefin elastomer. CONSTITUTION:2-20 C and 1-40 F fluorinated olefin compound preferably free of any acyl group (e.g., 8-H-perfluorooctene-1) is grafted onto a polyolefin elastomer of a crystallinity >=50% (e.g., ethylene/butene-1 elastomer) which is a rubberlike copolymer comprising 25-95mol% ethylene and an alpha-olefin and, optionally, a diolefin in the presence of, optionally, a radical generation catalyst to obtain the title elastomer of a crystallinity <=40% and a Mooney viscosity of 10-190. |
