<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the title powder having active surfaces, a low specific gravity and improved lubricity, hydrophilicity and affinity, by treating the surface of a fine polyorganosilsesquioxane powder with a specified block or graft copolymer. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a fine polyorganosilsesquioxane powder of the formula [wherein R is a (substituted)monovalent hydrocarbon group and p is a number large enough to make the polyorganosilsesquioxane solid] (preferably, one of a mean particle diameter <=100mum) is treated with 1-30wt.% surface-treating agent which is a linear or branched block or graft copolymer prepared by introducing a polyoxyalkylene chain or a polysiloxane chain into an Si-O-C bond, preferably, between Si and O through a (tri)methylene group, a tetramethylene group, a -(CH2)3CO- group or the like.</p> |
