PURPOSE:To obtain the superconducting ceramics having high Tc and Jc by using a double oxides composed of a rare earth element and alkaline earth element at the time of producing the superconductor consisting of a rare earth element-alkaline earth metal-copper-oxide. CONSTITUTION:The double oxides composed of the rare earth metal and alkaline earth metal, for example, Ba1Y2O4, Ba3Y4O9 are used preferably at >=50mol% of the rare earth element and alkaline earth element compd. as raw material compds. and these compds. are so mixed as to attain the element ratios of the rare earth element:alkaline earth element:copper=0.8-1.2:1.6-2.4:3 at the time of producing the raw material powder for the superconducting ceramics expressed by AxByCu3O7-z (A is the rare earth element, B is Sr or Ba, 0.8<x<1.2, 1.6<y<2.4, z<0.5). This mixture is calcined at 700-950 deg.C and is press-formed, then the molding is sintered at 750-950 deg.C, by which the high-temp. superconducting ceramics is obtd. |
