<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the overall gain from dropping when an ultrasonic beam has been deflected by correcting the amplification gain of an amplifying circuit for amplifying an input/output signal in accordance with a phase control by a phase control circuit. CONSTITUTION:A transmitting signal is amplified by a transmission amplifying circuit 3a, and by adjusting a phase by a phase control circuit 2, each ultrasonic element 11, 12 and 13 is driven so that a prescribed deflection angle phi is obtained, and the transmitting signal is converted to an ultrasonic beam and transmitted in the prescribed direction. In this case, in accordance with the deflection angle phi, a gain correcting signal corresponding to a phase adjusting signal is outputted to a gain control circuit 4 from a control part 2b, and the gain correcting circuit 4 corrects the amplification gain of the transmission amplifying circuit 3a and a reception amplifying circuit 3b by the gain correcting signal.</p> |
