<p>PURPOSE:To use a small capacity power supply as a thermal head by imparting a printing-permitting strobe of the thermal head from one shift register and controlling the data input to said shift register. CONSTITUTION:When a power supply VH rises, a RESET signal for setting the content of a printing data shifter 5 to 0 is inputted to prevent the generation of heat from a heat generating resistor 1. (N) printing data of one line are inputted to the DATA terminal of the printing data shifter 5 in synchronous relation to a carrier clock CLK and a latch pulse LATCH is emitted to a printing data latch 4 to latch printing data. Next, printing permitting data is inputted to a PDATAI terminal terminal 6 in synchronous relation to a carrier clock PCLK and, at the same time, a CYCE signal is set to 1(permission of printing) in order to be capable of reutilizing the printing permitting data. Herein, in order to hold stable recording density, the correction to the respective varying factors of an average heat generating resistance value, the temp. of a head substrate and a current supply time interval is performed by controlling three parameters of K(the number of heat generating resistors simultaneously permitted to print), tp(carrier clock cycle) and M(the number of times of a printing permitting cycle).</p> |
