<p>PURPOSE:To provide the title unit so designed that an adsorption unit is put to changeover only when the CO2 gas concentration became higher than a specified level to adsorb and remove an excess CO2 gas, thereby reducing the entering oxygen flow and keeping the fresh food under a stabilized gaseous atmosphere in a short time. CONSTITUTION:The operation of a CO2 gas generator 8 is started and the in-storehouse 1 air is introduced, using a blower 14, via a lead-in pipe 10, a chamber 46 and a changeover valve 41, into a combustion oven 12 and heated by an ignition heater 21 to effect burning a solid fuel 19. The resultant combustion gas is cooled by a cooling unit 13 and introduced into an adsorption unit 22 where the CO2 gas is made to adsorb on an absorptive material 30 along with circulating the O2 via a discharge pipe 26, a changeover valve 29 and another discharge pipe 40, into the storehouse 1. And the CO2 gas discharged from the adsorptive material 30 saturated in its CO2-adsorptive capacity is discharged, via the pipe 40 into the storehouse 1 to increase the amount of the in-storehouse 1 CO2 along with decreasing the in-storehouse 1 O2 concentration, and when the amount of the CO2 is decreased to or blow a specified level, said amount is increased again through valves 28, 29, 33, 38, and detected using a gas monitor 45.</p> |
