PURPOSE:To determine the relative position of cylinders simply and strictly, by providing key grooves to the outer peripheries of the bearers of adjacent cylinders at predetermined positions and allowing said key grooves to almost coincide with each other to insert a key in the key grooves. CONSTITUTION:Key grooves 27, 28 are provided to the outer peripheries of the bearers 25, 26 of both of an impression cylinder 5 and an intermediate cylinder 6 at predetermined positions and, when a key 29 is inserted in both key grooves in such a state that the key supported in a freely rotatable manner by a side wall 18 almost coincides with the key groove 28 of the intermediate cylinder 6, the phases of both cylinders coincide with each other forcibly and necessarily to determine the relative position of the cylinders. After the relative position of both cylinders is determined, when the drive gear 22 of the intermediate cylinder 6 is clamped to a coupling member 21 by a bolt 24, both cylinders are held to such a state that the opposed contact points 13 coincide on and after. At last, the key 29 is pulled off from the key grooves 27, 28 to prepare for the operation of a printing press. By this method, the assembling and re- adjustment work of the printing press are simplified to a large extent. |
