PURPOSE:To obtain a low-priced device capable of eliminating the required part of an original image in simple constitution by providing an eliminating means the width of which is narrower than a range for the maximum image formation of an image carrier and moving said means to the specific position in the longitudinal direction of the image carrier. CONSTITUTION:A small writing unit 71 which is smaller than the maximum copying width of a photosensitive drum 10 is provided near the drum 10. An operation key responding to elimination is operated, and a spot light source is driven to specify a prescribed eliminated position. Then, the writing unit 71 is moved. When a copying key is operated in said condition, a range from the specified elimination starting position to the LED 71c of an LED array 71b is completely turned to lighting condition, and the electric charge of the photosensitive drum 10 is eliminated. Thus, a part of an original image can be eliminated by using the writing unit 71 simultaneously when the original image is formed. |
