PURPOSE:To control the discoloration of a sensitive material without generating a stain and deteriorating the coloring property of a coupler by incorporating a specified hydroquinone derivative in the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The hydroquinone derivative shown by the formula is incorporated in the photographic constituting layer of the sensitive material, for example, a prescribed color sensitive silver halide emulsion layer. In the formula, R1 and R2 are each 5-7C alkyl or alkenyl group, R3 and R4 are 4-5C alkyl group. And, the hydroquinone derivative is composed of the compd. shown by the formula in which for example, R1 and R2 are both -C5H11 (n) and R3 and R4 are both -C4H9 (t), etc. The compd. can be incorporated in a hydrophilic colloid solution by dissolving the compd. in a high b.p. solvent, etc. |
