PURPOSE:To control the charging amount of toner in a proper range by removing a too much charged toner attached to a carrier weak in a charge giving ability and then, removing a too little charged toner not attached to the carrier strong in charge giving ability. CONSTITUTION:The toner is mixed with the first carrier particles (E) weak in the charge giving ability, the too much charged toner is attached to said carrier particles E, and then the particles E are separated, and said unfavorable toner is removed. Next, the toner is mixed with the second carrier particles (C) strong in said ability, and the toner particles in the range of proper charge amount are attached to the particles C, and taken out, and the toner attached to the particles C are separated and collected. At the time, the unfavorable too little charged toner are not attached to the particles C, and so easily separated. The carriers prescribed each in triboelectrification polarity, particle diameter, and volume resistivity are used for the carrier particles E and C. |
