<p>The collapsible handle may be used on a domestic yard brush, comprising several lengths (1,2) connected end to end by articulated straps (7). A lock holds the lengths in axial alignment and the articulations allow 180 degrees relative rotation of connected ends, a latch being used to indicate a different angular relationships between lengths. The straps are pinned (8) in grooves (15) in the ends of conjunctive lengths and the latch may use spring (11) loaded pins (10) engaging strap edge notches (9). The lock may use friction fitted sliding sleeves (17) to lock the joints in the extended state, all end fittings being incorporated in force fitted pieces (5,6).</p> |
