<p>The supply of components to a numerically controlled machine is maintained from a turntable with regularly spaced two-jaw component holders (28). A vertical column (33) at the centre of the turntable carries a horizontal arm (34) which spans beyond the radius of the turntable, and encloses a slider (35) which runs the length of the arm. This slider carries a vertical guide for a second slider having a grip fitted to its lower end to pickt up parts from the turntable and transport them to where the machine tool can accept them. The grip is mounted on a horizontal axis to allow the part to be rotated from the vertical to the horizontal. The displacement of the moving elements is by electro-mechanical actuators (41,42), controlled by position detection transducers.</p> |
