发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve a registration characteristic of ink and besides, to obtain an image which is high in density and clear in color tone, by a method wherein heat of fusion (or latent heat of fusion) of each thermal transfer ink layer is set in stages less according to a transfer order of said ink layer. CONSTITUTION:A structure in which thermal transfer ink layers of at least two colors are applied adjacent to each other along the longitudinal direction thereof on a base material is provided. Heat of fusion (or latent heat of fusion) of each thermal transfer ink layer is set in stages less according to a transfer order of said ink layer. When multi-colored printing is performed by registration of colors by thermal fusion transfer of each color ink layer on recording paper, since fusion energy becomes successively less in a transfer order of a first color, a second color, a third color..., good adhesion is obtained even though each color is transferred by a same transfer energy. On the first color and on and after the second color, a same transfer property can be obtained and when a colored image is transferred, an image which is wide in a color reproduction range, high in density, and clear in color tone is obtained. Herein, in order to increase fusion heat of thermal fusion ink, wax groups are effective, and in order to decrease fusion heat, polyethylene oxide wax, low molecular weight resin, etc., are effective.
