PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture a lithium cell of an excellent preservation property in a good productivity by processing maganese dioxide after drying, with an organic sulpur compound of the boiling point less than a specific value, and removing the active points on the surface of the manganese dioxide. CONSTITUTION:After drying maganese dioxide, it is processed with an organic sulfur compound with the boiling point less than 200 deg.C to eliminate the active points on the surface of the manganese dioxide, to suppress the reaction of the manganese dioxide and propylene carbonate. The organic sulphur compound is necessary to include at least more than one carbon atom and more than one sulfur atom in a molecle. Prectically, carbon bisulfide, methylthiocyanate, ethylsulfide, methylsulfide, propylenesulfide, t-butyl-methyl sulfide, buthylsulfide, thiophene, ethylsulfide, or the like is used. |
