PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction by providing an up-down counter reset in response to cylinder pulses in the fuel injector at every cylinder for a multicylinder internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:Revolution pulses C represent pulse width corresponding to the revolution of the engine and are generated continuously. Revolution pulses C are counted by the up-down counter 18 only by the time of a timer 17. The up- down counter 18 is reset by cylinder pulses A. The value of the up-down counter 18 after the time of the timer 17 is completed represents the number of revolution. The value is changed over to down counting by changeover pulses D. The pulse width of fuel injection pulses is smaller than the generated intervals of cylinder pulses when down counting does not reach 0; it is larger than those when down counting reaches 0. Consequntly, reset signals are outputted when down counting reaches 0. Accordingly, fuel is not supplied continuously only to a predetermined cylinder because a holding circuit 2 can be reset. |
