PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of partial missing of a picture and noise picture by switching the characteristic of a filter in an MTF(modulation transfer function) correction processing in response to the state of a switch means designating the kind of an original picture. CONSTITUTION:The characteristic of a filter is switched in response to the kind of an original picture, e.g., contrast to obtain the most preferred output picture to any original picture. That is, the MTF correction is set to a smaller value with respect to a picture whose contrast is large and clear. Moreover, the MTF correction is set to a larger value with respect to a picture whose contrast is small. Thus, production of a noise picture and missing of picture information are prevented. |
