PURPOSE:To enable the proper modification of the present bearing of a ship, by determining a deviation from a required lane on the basis of an aimed course image and a ship position image and by giving a bearing information containing an accumulated course deviation. CONSTITUTION:A bearing sensor 1 is connected as an input device to CPU through an A/D converter 2, and a speed sensor 3, a key switch 4 containing a bearing setting switch, and a timer 5, are also connected thereto. Besides, a display device 6 is connected as an external output device to the CPU through RAM 7 for display and a control element 8 for display. An angle theta of deviation from an aimed bearing of a ship is determined from an inclination of a ship position image in relation to a bearing image, while a deviation from a required lane is determined from a distance of separation between an aimed course image and the ship position image, and thereby a bearing information containing a deviation of an accumulated course is given. By this method, the modification of the present bearing of the ship can be implemented properly and thus safe navigation can be attained. |
