<p>PURPOSE:To expand a communication frame in a closed region by providing a coding device and a decoding device formed with a specific system and executing communication between the coding device for an animation and the decoding device for a still picture. CONSTITUTION:The coding device for the animation and the decoding device for the still picture are coupled with a transmission line having a low transmission rate for an electrostatic picture. The coding device has a frame memory to store one picture of the picture and codes the picture using the correlation of stored picture signals in the picture for a region determined for every arbitrary time. For the other regions except this region to be coded, the coding is executed with values of these regions as virtually and previously determined fixed values when the correlation between the pictures is used. Further, the decoding device reacts to the existence of the coding of the picture and selects decoding in which the correlation between the pictures is used and other decoding in which the correlation in the picture is used. Moreover, the still picture to be transmitted to the coding device for the animation is taken in, coded little by little, and sent to the decoding device. Thus, the communication between the coding device for the animation and the decoding device for the still picture becomes possible, and the communication frame can be expanded in the closed region of a still picture and animation communication station.</p> |
