PURPOSE:To improve the high sensitivity and the graininess of a sensitive material by mounting at least one layer of a silver halide emulsion layer on a supporting body, and by composing a silver halide particle contd. in an emulsion of a round tabular particle and a nontabular particle having a prescribed sphere equivalent diameter, and incorporating the round tabular particle in the emulsion layer in an amount of >=70% of the projected area of the whole of silver halide particle. CONSTITUTION:At least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layer is mounted on the supporting body of the sensitive material, and the silver halide particle is composed of the round tabular particle and the nontabular particle having the sphere equivalent diameter of 0.2 to 0.5mum. The round tabular particle is incorporated in the emulsion layer in the amount of >=70% of the projected area of the whole of silver halide particle. And, the sensitivity and graininess of the sensitive material are improved, and the photographic latitude of the sensitive material is enlarged. |
