The closed cable includes a core 1 covered by at least one layer 2, 3 of shaped wires 21, 31 arranged adjoiningly, each shaped wire being wedged in between the wires which are directly adjacent to it. According to the invention, it further includes at least one peripheral layer, preferably two layers 4, 5 of wires 41, 51 wound on the layer 3 of shaped wires with a laying angle lying between 25 and 65 DEG .
