The life and efficiency of the ignition plug is improved by preventing the accumulation of remaining carbons on the surface of the electrode. The ignition plug comprises a central electrode (21) for a spark ignition and a contact electrode whose spark ends (24) are formed in a ring shape. When a spark occurs between the central electrode and the contact electrode, the path of spark flames inclines so as for the highly speedy exploded gas to expel the remaining carbon on the surface of the electrode.
