PURPOSE:To facilitate the position accuracy giving of a gap peripheral point by simultaneously forming a lower magnetic pole whole body and the gap peripheral point of an upper magnetic pole on a nonmagnetic plate. CONSTITUTION:On a nonmagnetic base film 1 with a prescribed thickness, a lower magnetic pole 2 whole body in a prescribed size and a gap part 3 of the upper magnetic pole are formed of a magnetic material having a high permeability. Next, an electric insulating layer 4 is formed on the lower magnetic pole 2. An exciting coil 5 is formed on a next layer 4. Next, an insulating layer 6 is formed on a coil 5 at a side opposite to the lower magnetic pole 2. Next, an upper magnetic pole 7 is formed in a position not to overlap the lower magnetic pole 2 side in a plane way. Thus, the position accuracy giving and size accuracy giving of the gap peripheral point can be facilitated, and plural magnetic head can be inexpensively manufactured with a good accuracy. |
