PURPOSE:To shorten the time of convergence on a set hot water temperature when hot water service is resumed after it has been suspended so as to minimize the deviation from a set value, by controlling the amount of supply heat, based on the output of a temperature controller at the time immediately before the suspension of the hot water service. CONSTITUTION:The signal TWO from an outflow hot water temperature detector and the set value signal TWR from a temperature setting apparatus 5 are inputted into the temperature controller 6, and the output TC of the temperature controller 3 controls the supply water heat amount controller 6. In this arrangement, at the time t1 the amount (W) of water passage is made 0 to suspend the hot water service, the output value TC1 at the time before the suspension is kept, and when the hot water service is resumed at the time T2 within a certain period, the supply of the amount of heat is controlled, based on the output value TC1.
