<p>PURPOSE:To curtail the amount of wash water for washing of a mist separator, by calculating the amount of absorbing slurry mist flowing into the mist separator from the detected values of the flow amount of exhaust gas from a boiler and controlling a water washing interval of the mist separator by its signal. CONSTITUTION:A mist separator 4 separates mist from the exhaust gas which is emitted from a boiler and brought into a gas-liquid contact between itself and absorbing slurry in an absorbing tower 2. A calculator 21 detects the output of the boiler or the flow amount of the exhaust gas and, from the detected value, calculates the amount of the absorbing slurry mist flowing into the mist separator 4. A control device 22 controls a water washing interval of the mist separator 4 by its signal. This method can reduce the amount of wash water for use in the washing of the mist separator in accordance with variations in the load of the boiler. Also, the washing in this way can prevent the adhering of solid substances to the elements of the mist separator.</p> |
