METHOD FOR CONTROLLING WASHING OF MIST SEPARATOR

PURPOSE:To curtail the amount of wash water for washing of a mist separator, by controlling a water washing interval of the mist separator by means of a signal detecting variations in the load of a boiler and a signal detecting the concentration of slurry in the wash water for the washing of the mist separator. CONSTITUTION:A mist separator 4 separates mist from exhaust gas which is emitted from a boiler and brought into a gas-liquid contact between itself and absorbing slurry in an absorption tower 2. A control device 22 controls a water washing interval of the mist separator 4 by a signal detecting the output of the boiler or the flow amount of the exhaust gas and a signal detecting the concentration of the slurry in the wash water after washing the mist separator 4. This method can reduce the amount of wash water without adhering the absorbing slurry mist to the elements of the mist separator.
