Method of constructing a sheeting or retaining wall for land cuttings

Precast elements are used for constructing a sheeting or retaining wall for land cuttings and for protecting the excavation zones lying one under the other with overlapping, back-hung wall strips of reinforced concrete. The precast elements are aligned on each excavation plane and are connected at the top to the preceding, higher wall strips or elements. The feet of the offset elements obtain frictional contact with the earth. Anchors are bored through recesses present there, are set and are secured with anchor plates to the foot of the element. Subsequently, the free space between element and earth as well as between the elements themselves is filled, specifically in the latter case up to the level of the connecting area.
