<p>In the method disclosed, the sulphate-reducing bacteria are cultured as follows. A concentrated, prereduced nutrient medium containing a source of iron is inoculated in a vessel by injection under anaerobic conditions with a constant quantity of test samples. The inoculated medium is incubated at constant temperature. The medium is concentrated 10 times and also contains two sources of carbon, a redox indicator, a sulphur-free reducing agent, a source of nitrogen, and yeast extract. The inoculation is carried out using water from a petroleum deposit. The sulphate-reducing bacteria are detected by spectrophotometry. Also described are a device for implementing the method and the application of the method.</p> |
