In a hydraulic braking system for a motor vehicle, a transparent plastics reservoir 9 has threaded opening 11 into which an integral threaded projection 17 on one of a master cylinder 1 is screwed. The projection 17 has a bore (not shown) parallel to or aligned with the cylinder axis. A compressible sealing washer 13 and a locking washer 19 are provided. The locking washer may have tabs 21, 25 as shown co-operating with projections 23, 27 respectively. Instead of tab 21, the locking washer may have a flat (29) co-operating with a flat surface on the reservoir. |
