PURPOSE:To improve the anti-sticking and anti-static properties of the title material, and to prevent the faulty conveyability of paper and the sticking of a stain on a roller in an automatic processor by incorporating potassium titanate whiskers in an amount of >=20wt.% based on the amount of gelatin, and a colloidal silica in a backing layer, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material comprises at least a silver halide photographic emulsion layer on one side of a supporting body, and a gelatin backing layer on the another side of the supporting body, and a gelatin backing layer contains potassium titanate whisker in the amount of >=20wt.% based on the amount of the gelatin, and also the colloidal silica. The whisker to be used is a high strength monocrystalline fiber having a composition of K2 OnTiO2, where (n) is >=1. Thus, the photosensitive material has such excellent physical property on the outermost layer that the photosensitive material does not stick with another surface of material even under high temp. and high humidity condition, in case of being in contact with said another surface. The generation of the stain in the photosensitive material is prevented in the processings of the material by controlling the withstand voltage, and the conveyability of the material is improved in the automatic processor. |
