A film strip carrier for photographic reproducing apparatus comprises a fixed body 3 with a film gate 4; a pressure back 31 with a window 41, film being inserted between the body 3 and back 31; and two dish shaped carriers 2, one each side of the fixed body 3 to support inserted film by its edges. This is achieved by shaping each holder so that any plane through a holder perpendicular the longitudinal axis of the path of movement of an inserted film strip inter-sects the holder in a line having at least one change of direction. One example of the holder shape is shown in Fig. 3, the holder having a V-profile. In another example Fig.4 (not shown), the middle part of the holder body is omitted. In a further example Fig. 7 (not shown), the arms of the "V" are curved. Alternatively, the arms of the "V" maybe separated by a horizontal portion Fig. 5 (not shown) or have vertical tensions Fig. 6 (not shown). |
