[Also in Divisions F2 and H1] A diaphragm 26 is sealed into a pressure switch by placing the diaphragm between opposing faces on parts 10, 14, axially compressing the parts to compress the diaphragm periphery while welding them together at 54 and then maintaining the axial compression until the weld solidifies and draws the opposing faces together. All the metal parts of the switch may be made of stainless steel and the weld 54 of parent metal may be formed by TIG welding. |
