Harvested crop measuring apparatus for combine harvesters has at least one rotatable measuring container 7 for receiving harvested crop and arranged to be accelerated by means of a spring 11 together with its contents in order to determine the moment of inertia and the weight of the contents which can be derived therefrom. After the acceleration process the measuring container 7 is emptied.
