A swivelling slide valve adapted for use with pumps for conveying concrete and other thick fluids, includes three coplanar ports 2, (3) and 4, the first being connected to a hopper, the second to a delivery pipe and the third to a pump, a part cylindrical segment 5 being rotatable within a cylindrical space 1 into which the ports open, alternately in front of the first and second ports. The segment 5, which constitutes the valve closure member, has its leading edges tapered and is removably secured on a swivelling element 6 which is connected to a shaft 9 journalled in bearings 7, sealing between the space 1 and bearings being effected by a washer 8 which is clamped between a bushing sleeve 1<1>, lining the space 1, and a bearing cap 10. Disposed opposite to the cap 10, is a removable cover 11 which forms a bearing guide for the periphery of the segment. |
